A new Grameen Foundation publication: “Research on triggers and barriers to the uptake of dental healthcare services among low-income households in urban India” has found that nearly 49 percent of those surveyed have experienced a dental ailment in the last year, and nearly half of those did not seek care. Lack of dental health awareness, financing and access to services were major obstacles.
