Diana Gondon loved the idea of helping women to help themselves. So, when choosing a charity to include in her will, Grameen Foundation seemed like a natural fit. When Ms. Gondon passed away in 2011, she left $20,000 to Grameen Foundation in her bequest - and, in turn, ensured that she left a legacy of women's empowerment.
Diana's generous bequest to Grameen Foundation is just one of the many ways she will be remembered. Her daughters, Heidi and Lisa, fondly recall her delicious meals, brownies and rice pudding, as well as the time she spent with her grandchildren. Her gift to Grameen Foundation and passion for empowering less fortunate women demonstrate what her daughters remember most about their mother - a loving, generous woman with a heart of gold.
